Photoshop - Diagonal Stripes Background Pattern

Let's Start!

1. Select menu File-->New(Shortcut key: Cmd/Ctrl + N) to create a "New" canvas.




2. Input Width:4, Height:4 and "Transparent"the Background Contents on the New dialogue box.




3. Select "Zoom" Tool , Zoom In all the way up to 3200% to see the detail.




4. Select "Pencil" Tool , choose color Gray(or #666666 Hex Color), click 4 times to make a pixelated diagonal line as seen in the image.




5. Select menu Select-->All (Shortcut key: Cmd/Ctrl + A) to select all area in the canvas.




6. Select menu Edit-->Define Pattern. Name it. Press OK.



*From this point You've created the Diagonal Stribes Pattern!


7. Let's create a New File.
(I'm going to try 480x 320/transparent background)


8. Drag an object to the canvas.




9. Go to the Layer Palette (If you can't see the palette, select menu Window-->Layers.
Click on the button - to create a new layer. Place the layer below the Shoe(the object) layer.




10. Select menu Edit-->Fill (Shortcut key: Shift + F5).
On the "Contents" box (Use:) select "Pattern".


You'll see "Custom Pattern", select the pattern you've just created! Press OK.
